Ron Deisher and I are starting to work on a
little project together. We want to build a family of birds
centered around one of the greatest German National Aces ever
flown. The bird I am referring to was bred and flown by Andreas Drapa, she is none other than the Black Widow!!
Over the last few years Andreas Drapa has dominated the
world in big money races!! This prompted Ron and I to pursue
this project. Black Widow was imported to the USA by Mike
Ganus and Ron and I have been fortunate
enough to acquire a few direct children of the Black Widow.
We will be starting this Family of birds with Ron's Widow's
Bet mated to my Stewardess. Ron's Widow's Bet
is a direct son of the world renown Sure Bet when mated
to Black Widow. The Stewardess is a direct
daughter of Aviator mated to Black Widow. That
will make the offspring of this mating grandchildren to the
World's Top Producer of Big Money Winners, grandchildren of an
Olympiad Champion of the Entire World and double grandchildren
of a National Ace of All Germany.
What a magnificent
combination, Stewardess is a perfect mate for Widow's Bet.
She is small to medium in size, a tremendous rich dark orange
eye, perfect in the hand, put together like any foundation bird
should be. He is the perfect, small to medium size male; shorter
cast, very much like his mother. And oh what a full, well
muscled body!! This has all the ingredients of a "Golden
Couple", combining the best big race bloodlines in the world to
produce inbred youngsters destined to be foundation breeders of
One Loft Race Winners!!
We are going to breed 12 youngsters off this pairing. We are going to share 6 of them and then Ron is going to
keep
three youngsters and I will keep three youngsters to start our families.
Ron's will be based around Widow's Bet
and mine will be based around Stewardess. Then we will
continue to swap birds to build our families. This
is a longer term project and we are looking for flyers
interested in having a part of this family and going on this
journey with us.
As I mentioned, we are only selling 6 of the young. They will be grandchildren of Sure Bet, Aviator
and double grandchildren of Black Widow. This will be on
a first come, first serve basis. Reserve yours now as these 6
will go pretty quickly. Ron and I will also be donating one
youngster to a fund raiser on iPigeon the week of September
14th.
Turned Luck has
also added a Black Widow granddaughter, who is also a Sure
Bet granddaughter as well as double great granddaughter. She is a black
white flight and will allow us to return the black color
back into the family as well as continue to work both families,
Sure Bet and Black Widow. Please keep an eye out
