"Two
Moons"
SAM
11-343
Captain Moonlight x
Texas Star
Inbred
Aviator Granddaughter
Inbred Secret Weapon Granddaughter
Half Sister to
GFL's Iron Lady
Two Moons is small-medium in size with a slightly longer
body, a nice darker eye and very good muscle. Two Moons is an inbred
daughter of the proven
producer Captain Moonlight; coming from a father/daughter
mating. This also makes her an inbred
Aviator granddaughter. Two Moons also has several other Ganus Family greats
backing up her pedigree. And I am not talking about imported
breeders; I mean American One Loft race tested GFL breeders!!
I just had to add Two
Moons to bolster the Aviator blood in my Black Widow
family!!! My goal is to keep the family at a 50/50 split, mimicking
the original paring.
Sire: Captain Moonlight,
GFL 07-665 - Captain Moonlight, a son of the unquestioned
Olympic Champion Aviator mated to Secret Weapon/Super
Eyes, has proven himself to be a
fantastic breeder!! Captain Moonlight is the sire of Ganus Family
Loft's Iron Lady. She won 1st Florida Sun Coast Invitational
350 and 1st Florida Sun Coast Fire Cracker 400. Captain Moonlight
also sired Texas Star who finished 12th on the 400 mile Texas
Showdown. To top that off when they combined all the entries from
the Texas Gusher, Texas Showdown, and Texas Crapshoot, Texas Star
was first through the trap on that 400 miler.
Captain Moonlight
also bred 8th at the WFA Salt Lake City 300 mile race. He has proven
himself to be a producer.

Dam: Texas Star, SAM
10-62
- Here is what breeder Sam Haslem had to say about
Texas Star, "I sent four birds last year down to the Texas
Showdown Race. They had a 150, 250, 300, and 400 mile leg. I had a
little hen SAM 62, who I sent and she did well on the longer races.
She finished around 12th if I remember right on the 400 mile leg.
They decided to combine all the birds from the Texas Gusher, Texas
Showdown, and Texas Crapshoot, all of which were flown from the club
site in NE Dallas, Texas. So all the birds were sent to a second 400
mile race and SAM 10-62 finished 1st through the trap on the
combined race. She is a jewel. She is perfect in the hand, and the
mother of 343."
Texas Star's dam, Grand
Canyon, is an accomplished racer and breeder. She won the Grand
Canyon Classic in Phoenix, AZ. In addition to Texas Star, she
also bred 17th in the Spring Break Race; finishing equal 1st in all
three races and 2nd Overall. Grand Canyon is from
Godfather blood on top and out of Hollywood and The
Dream on the bottom side.
Texas Star's sire is
the super producing foundation breeder for Sam Haslem of Utah,
Captain Moonlight !!!
